A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. CRA-R-10-0043 AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE
OF A GRANT TO THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE CAFE
BUILDING AT BICENTENNIAL PARK, TO REDUCE THE TOTAL FUNDS GRANTED
TO THE CITY FROM $69,957 TO $47,000; REALLOCATING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXPENDITURE OF EXCESS FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$22,957, TOWARD THE NECESSARY RE -GRADING AND REMOVAL OF TREES
AT THE DEMOLITION SITE; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO
DISBURSE FUNDS, AT HIS DISCRETION, ON A REIMBURSEMENT BASIS OR
DIRECTLY TO VENDORS, UPON PRESENTATION OF INVOICES AND
SATISFACTORY DOCUMENTATION; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AND AMEND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR
SAID PURPOSE, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO GENERAL COUNSEL.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its Redevelopment
Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-10-0043, passed and
adopted on May 13, 2010, authorized the issuance of a grant to the City of Miami, for the demolition
and removal of the Cafe Building, its adjoining structures, and the fountain structure at Bicentennial
Park, 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work for the City's demolition contract does not include re -grading or
tree removal, and cannot be performed without a new request for bids; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of time, and in an effort to pool available resources, the CRA has
proposed to assist the City with the demolition project by arranging for the re -grading and removal of
trees at the demolition site; and
WHEREAS, the City's portion of the demolition project will not exceed $47,000, and the CRA
shall use the excess funds toward the remaining portion of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to amend Resolution No. CRA-R-10-0043 to
reduce the total funds granted to the City from $69,957 to $47,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted

by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Section 2 of Resolution No. CRA-R-1 0-0043 is hereby amended as follows:{1 I

Section 3. The reallocation and expenditure of excess funds, in on amount not to exceed
$22,957, toward the necessary re -grading and removal of trees at the demolition site, is authorized.
Section4. The Executive Director is authorized to disburse funds, at his diecretion, on a
reimbursement basis or directly to vendors, upon presentation of invoices and satisfactory
documentation.
Gection5. The Executive Director is authorized to execute and amend all documents
necessary for said purpose, in a form acceptable to General Counsel.
Section 6. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
