After careful review and based on our extensive communication, I am
convinced that the Miami Art Museum has met all the conditions for receipt of the
$100,000,000 authorized under the Building Better Communities (BBC) Project
296 for the Miami Art Museum. Of this amount $19.5 million of bond proceeds
for this project have already been sold. I intend to recommend funding for the
balance of the Miami Art Museum project as part of the next three scheduled
BBC bond sales. The County will continue to advance bond proceeds on a
reimbursement basis as we have in the past. We will provide these advances to
ensure you can make required vendor payments in a timely manner. Naturally,
all County funding is subject to the rules and regulations, and oversight
provisions that govern this project and the overall bond program.
Please be advised that the above recommendations have been approved by
the Mayor and are subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners. I
anticipate the Board will consider the recommended projects for the next BBC
bond sale by late Fall. Included among these projects will be the Miami Art
Museum.
I look forward to our continued close working relationship to ensure this a
successful project for the betterment of the people of Miami -Dade County.

It is a privilege for John Moriarty Associates of Florida (JMA) to be working with the Miami Art
Museum to build the new MAM. We reviewed the current construction documents and met
extensively with the design team over the past six weeks. JMA solicited pricing from multiple
subcontractors for all of the trades —locally, state wide, national and abroad, and developed an in
house check estimate. In addition, MAM retained an independent Cost consultant to compile
confirmation pricing.
Based upon the current set of documents and our pricing efforts, JMA anticipates submitting a
Guaranteed Maximum Price to MAM of $78 Million Dollars for the Museum and parking
construction. This includes appropriate contingencies and the asSE -notion that the soil management
project is complete prior to construction.
Again, we are excited about the project and proud to play a part in the new MAM. Should you have
any questions, do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
John Moriarty & Associat-s

Carlos, I have forwarded the figure you requested from Robert Portnoff for MAM. Also, we need to stay on time and on budget so we
will advance the permit fees of 26,000 Uwe get them waived would like the money back. Thanks for your consideration. If there is
anything else you need please advise. Sincerely, Aaron

Hi Aaron,
As per your question, the museum has paid to date the following:
Building Project: 16,328,875
Planning: 6,944,3 02
Also, we are planning to submit the drawings to the building department for plan review tomorrow and will pay the 'upfront fee' of
S26,000. If the permitting fees are waived, I would hope the museum can get the fees refunded.
