A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE CRA TO JOIN THE CITY OF MIAMI IN APPLYING FOR A
FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT GRANT ("FIND GRANT"), UNDER THE
2010 WATERWAYS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ("WAP") FOR PHASE I OF THE
MIAMI WOMAN'S CLUB BAYWALK PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAID GRANT
APPLICATION; DIRECTING THE CRA BRING BACK A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING FUNDING, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $46,500, IN THE
EVENT A FIND GRANT IS AWARDED TO THE CITY OF MIAMI AND THE CRA.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within the
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.4,D., at page 42, of the 2009 Omni Area Redevelopment Plan, lists
"[p]rovid[ing] a system of public open spaces" and "[m]aximiz[ing] access and views to Biscayne Bay"
as stated redevelopment objectives; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission, by Resolution No. R-10-0135, passed and adopted on
March 25, 2010, authorized the City Manager to apply for grant funding from FIND for the design,
engineering, and permitting of the Baywalk, assessment of the associated seawall, and other
professional services for Phase I of the Miami Woman's Club Baywalk Project ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA wishes to assist the City in obtaining the FIND Grant by providing fifty
percent (50%) of the total Project costs; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the CRA wishes to authorize the CRA to join the City
of Miami in applying for a FIND Grant, and direct the CRA to bring back a resolution authorizing
funding in the event a FIND Grant is awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The CRA is authorized to join the City of Miami in applying for a Florida Inland
Navigation District Grant, under the 2010 Waterways Assistance Program for Phase I of the Miami
Woman's Club Baywalk Project.

Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said grant
application.
Section 4. The CRA is directed to bring back a resolution authorizing funding, in an amount not to
exceed $46,500, in the event a FIND Grant is awarded to the City of Miami and the CRA.
Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
