(NANA) to provide technical assistance and business development training to businesses in the Southeast OvertownfParkWest and Omn1Redevelop .ent ]district. On January 26, 2008 NANA was awarded a contract for $20,000 for our services. Through this program 49 businesses showed an interest in participating and 32 completed the 9 week course in which were given access to business assistance and were very grateful for the services rendered. As a result of our success with businesses in the targeted areas we would like to request $60,000 to offer technical assistance and business development training to small businesses year round. It is in our genuine interest to provide the best technical assistance and business guidance for small and emerging businesses. W.e appreciate your consideration and continued support on this matter. Each session will be between 1 hr. and 1.5 hours per week for a nine week period. Extra hours have been included to accommodate businesses that may miss a class session. Capacity Building Training for a maximum of 30 participants. This includes the facilitation of the class, the pre and post test, the evaluation component and all elements related to the class structure. $7,000 _ 20 hours at $50 per hour Curriculum Development: Custom made facilitator's manuals, participant's manuals, course work and materials will be developed and $1,000 Supplies Copying, Binding, books: This is an estimated cost (estimated to be round down $200 and up $200) The $ 800 amount is based on a class size of 30. This breaks down to approximately $26 per person for copying and binding books based on $800 N/A Post Event Evaluation and Wrap-up $200 Please be advised that if the proposal is accepted, one-third of the cost will be due upon execution of the contact. The next payment will be due at the commence of the training and the final payment will be due once the CRA receives NANA's final report after the training. Scope of Work WoUNWArall Scope of Work: to provide capacity building training in the areas of Business Customer Service, Marketing/Advertising/Public relations, Accounting/Bookkeeping and information on Incorporation. Business Customer Service —The Customer Service Course will provide a comprehensive training that focuses on people on the front line of customer service, whether face to face or over the phone. It will give participants the skills to develop customer loyalty and will teach them how to take care of themselves and feel confident in any customer situation. Marketing/Advertising/Public Relations —Provide a comprehensivetraining that focuses on the principles of Public Relations/Community Relations. Accounting/Bookkeeping-- Provide a comprehensive training on the principles of accounting/bookkeeping for small businesses. Business Structure Info. —The business incorporation course will provide a comprehensive training that focuses on how to incorporate a business. All training sessions will include SMART Objectives, with clearly defined outputs, pre and post tests, group exercises, evaluation and a presenter and participant manual.
