Execution of Agreements with the
Lowest Responsive Bidders of RFS Nos.
09-01, 09-02, and 09-03.

BACKGROUND:
It is recommended that the Boards of Commissioners of the Southeast OvertownfPark West and Omni
Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agencies ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Joint
Resolution authorizing the execution of agreements with the lowest responsive bidders of Request for Service
No. 09-01 for miscellaneous CRA landscaping maintenance services, Request for Service No. 09-02 for
miscellaneous cleaning of CRA parking lots, and Request for Service No, 09-03 for miscellaneous CRA
sidewalk pressure cleaning services.
The Southeast OvertownlPark West Community Redevelopment Agency ("SEOPW CRA") and ❑mni
Redevelopment ❑istrict Community Redevelopment Agency ("Omni CRA") maintain twenty-five (25) properties
and areas, which require landscape maintenance every two weeks including the clearing of trash and debris.
The SEOPW CRA also owns three (3) public parking lots in Overtown (P-2, P-3 and P-4) which require daily
cleaning services. Furthermore, the street along N.W. 3rd Avenue, from N.W.8th Street to N.W.14th Street,
needs pressure cleaning, including the removal of dirt, mold, mildew, and gum.
On October 6, 2009, the CRA published Request for Service Nos. 09-01 for miscellaneous CRA landscaping
maintenance services, 09-02 for miscellaneous cleaning of CRA parking lots, and 09-03 for miscellaneous CRA
sidewalk pressure cleaning services. Bidders on the Requests for Service are required to submit their proposals
no later than October 20, 2009. The CRA expects to select the lowest responsive and responsible bidders for
each Request for Service shortly after the submission deadline.
JUSTIFICATION:
The Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agencies
("CRA") maintains twenty-five (25) properties and areas, which require landscape maintenance every two weeks
including the clearing of trash and debris.
The Southeast OvertownlPark West Community Redevelopment Agency owns three (3) public parking lots in
Overtown (P-2, P-3 and P-4) which require daily cleaning services.
Section IV.C.1., at page 27. of the 1982 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Plan lists "(r]ebuild[ing]
and beautify[ing] NW 3rd Avenue from NW 8th - 14th Streets" as a recommended improvement.
