A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$1,800,000, FOR STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN N.W. 3RD AND
N.W. 1ST AVENUES, AND N.W. 10TH AND N.W. 14TH STREETS; AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISBURSE SAID FUNDS, AT HIS DISCRETION,
DIRECTLY TO PROJECT VENDORS SELECTED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI OR TO
AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO PROJECT
VENDORS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND,
"CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10050. 920101. 670000. 0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast OvertownlPark West Community Redevelopment Agency ('CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within the
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section IV.C. 8.,, at Page 27, of the 1982 Southeast Overtown/Park West
Community Redevelopment Plan, as amended, lists "[u]pgrad[ing] the overall pedestrian environment
through landscaping, widening of sidewalks, etc" as a recommended improvement; and
WHEREAS, the streets between N.W. 3rd and N.W. 1st Avenues, and N.W. 10th and N.W. 14th
Streets have fallen into disrepair; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Capital Improvements Department has provided a preliminary cost
estimate of $3,000,000 to construct streetscape improvements in this area; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the expenditure of funds, in an
amount not to exceed $1,800,000, for streetscape improvements between N.W. 3rd and N.W. 1st
Avenues, and N.W. 10th and N.W. 14th Streets from the current year budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $1,800,000, for
streetscape improvements between N.W. 3rd and N.W. lst Avenues, and N.W. 10th and N.W. 14th
Streets is authorized.

Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to disburse said funds, at his discretion,
directly to project vendors selected by the City of Miami or to authorize the City of Miami to issue
0 purchase orders to project vendors.
Section 4. Funds are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Construction In
Progress," Account Code No. 10050.920101.670000.0000.00000.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption
