A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING POINCIANA VILLAGE CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC. TO
REALLOCATE THE REMAINING BALANCE OF GRANT FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $7,246.45, FOR FENCE REPAIRS.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with the approved Redevelopment Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-07-0059, passed and
adopted on December 12, 2007, authorized a grant, in an amount not to exceed $49,000, to Poinciana
Village Condominium Association, Inc. ("Poinciana Village") for awnings, lighting upgrades, fire safety
and security; and
WHEREAS, on January 30, 2008, the CRA and Poinciana Village entered into an agreement
for the use of grant funds; and
WHEREAS, Poinciana Village has addressed the awnings, lighting upgrades, fire safety and
security issues, and has a remaining balance of $7,246.45; and
WHEREAS, Poinciana Village has requested to reallocate the remaining balance for fence
repairs; and
WHEREAS, Section III.B., at page 13, of the Plan lists "maintain[ing] security in the area" as a
stated redevelopment objective; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize Poinciana Village to reallocate
the remaining balance of grant funds for fence repairs; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Poinciana Village Condominium Association, Inc. is authorized to reallocate the
remaining balance of grant funds, in the amount of $7,246.45, for fence repairs.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
