A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING A GRANT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,000,000, TO THE
CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SKATE
PARK AT BISCAYNE PARK AT 150 NORTHEAST 19TH STREET, MIAMI,
FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT HIS DISCRETION, TO
DISBURSE THE GRANT FUNDS ON A REIMBURSEMENT BASIS OR DIRECTLY
TO CITY'S VENDORS UPON PRESENTATION OF INVOICES AND
SATISFACTORY DOCUMENTATION; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAID PURPOSE,
IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO GENERAL COUNSEL; ALLOCATING FUNDS
FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND, ENTITLED "OTHER GRANTS AND AIDS,"
ACCOUNT CODE NO. 10040.920101.883000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its Redevelopment
Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Section V, B., entitled "Capital Improvement Projects," at page 26 of the Plan lists
"public infrastructure improvements including, but not limited to, utilities, streets, sidewalks, parks,
landscaping and upgrading of publicly -acquired easements," as recommended capital improvements
for accomplishing the redevelopment objectives of the Plan; and
WHEREAS, Biscayne Park is currently a passive park and development of a skate park would
stimulate active use of the park by residents as a place to play and exercise in a safe environment;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has requested to fund the design and construction of a skate
park at Biscayne Park at 150 Northeast 19th Street ("Biscayne Park"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's Department of Parks and Recreation has agreed to manage
the design and construction of a skate park at Biscayne Park; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. A grant, in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000, to the City of Miami ("City") for
the design and construction of a skate park at Biscayne Park at 150 Northeast 19th Street, Miami,
Florida, is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized, at his discretion, to disburse grant funds
on a reimbursement basis, or directly to the City's vendors upon presentation of invoices and
satisfactory documentation.
Section 4. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for
said purpose, in a form acceptable to General Counsel.
Section 5. Funds are to be allocated from Omni Tax Increment Fund, entitled "Other
Grants and Aids," Account Code No. 10040.920101.883000.0000.00000.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
