The Police, Code Enforcement, NET and Fire departments have all conducted numerous inspections which have resulted in the current owner receiving continuous fines. It is my belief that CRA ownership of the property and subsequent demolition of the building will be extremely beneficial to the residents of Overtown, nearby business owners, and children who attend Frederick Douglass Elementary School. The CRA and other rental property owners have done an outstanding job in refurbishing the 12th Street and 3' Ave corridor. The CRA's purchase of this property and future development of this site will be beneficial to all involved. I fully support the CRA's effort to purchase and demolish this blighted building.
