A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$4,500,000, FORA TOTAL PROJECT COST NOT TO EXCEED $6,000,000, FOR
STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS ALONG NORTHEAST 14TH STREET FROM
NORTHEAST 2ND AVENUE WEST TO THE FLORIDA EAST COAST RAILWAY
TRACKS (APPROXIMATELY NORTHWEST 1ST AVENUE); AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISBURSE SAID FUNDS, AT HIS DISCRETION,
DIRECTLY TO VENDORS SELECTED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI, OR TO
AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO PROJECT
VENDORS; PROVIDING THAT THE CRA SHALL MAINTAIN NONSTANDARD
UPGRADES INSTALLED AS PART OF THE PROJECT; ALLOCATING FUNDS
FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND, ENTITLED "CONSTRUCTION IN
PROGRESS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 10040.920101.670000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its redevelopment
area in accordance with the approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section V.B. of the redevelopment plan, entitled "Capital Improvement Projects,"
at Paragraph 3, provides for "[p]ublic infrastructure improvements including, but not limited to, utilities,
streets, sidewalks, parks, landscaping and upgrading of publicly -acquired easements;" and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-05-0052, passed and
adopted on December 15, 2005, authorized the expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed
$1,500,000, for streetscape improvements along Northeast 14th Street from Northeast 2nd Avenue
west to the Florida East Coast Railway tracks (approximately Northwest 1st Avenue); however, this
amount did not reflect the total project cost; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize additional funding for the
Northeast 14th Street Streetscape Improvement Project, and to provide that the CRA will maintain
nonstandard upgrades installed as part of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The expenditure of additional funds, in an amount not to exceed $4,500,000,
for a total project cost not to exceed $6,000,000, for streetscape improvements along Northeast 14th

Street from Northeast 2nd Avenue west to the Florida East Coast Railway tracks (approximately
Northwest 1st Avenue) is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to disburse said funds, at his discretion,
directly to project vendors selected by the City of Miami, or to authorize the City of Miami to issue
purchase orders to project vendors.
Section 4. The CRA shall maintain nonstandard upgrades installed as part of the project.
Section 5. Funds are to be allocated from Omni Tax Increment Fund, entitled "Construction
in Progress," Account Code No. 10040.920101.670000.0000.00000.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
