VillacortaiJf Executive Director BACKGROUND: Subject: Ratification of Issuance of Purchase Order to Graybar Electric Company, Inc. for Replacement of Calida light Fixture. References: Enclosures: Supporting Documentation; Legislation The attached Resolution ratifies the issuance of a purchase order, on an emergency basis, to Graybar Electric Company, Inc., an approved City vendor, in the amount of $6,220, to replace a missing Calida light fixture at the northwest corner of the intersection of Northwest 14th Street and Northwest 2nd Avenue in the PAC Super Block. Pursuant to Resolution Nos. CRA-R-050021, CRA-R-05-0044, and CRA-R-06-0039, the CRA funded certain non-standard streetscape improvements, including unique street lights, in the two -block area immediately surrounding the Performing Arts Center, with the understanding that the CRA would fund maintenance of the non-standard improvements, including light fixtures. JUSTIFICATION: Section V.B. of the redevelopment plan , entitled "Capital Improvement Projects" at paragraph 3, provides for [p]ublic infrastructure improvements, including, but not limited to, utilities, streets, sidewalks, parks, landscaping and upgrading of publicly -acquired easements." Due to the nature of the repair, the purchase order was issued on an emergency basis utilizing an approved City vendor. FUNDING: $6,220 from OMNI Tax Increment Fund, entitled "Other Contractual Services," Account Code No. 10040.920101.53400.0000.00000. JHV/ pk
