HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-08-0027City of Miami Legislation CRA Resolution: CRA-R-08-0027 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 08-00548 Final Action Date: 5/19/2008 A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE CRAS' OFFICES FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING JUNE 24, 2008 AND ENDING JUNE 23, 2009, AT AN ANNUAL COST NOT TO EXCEED $6,500; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM GENERAL OPERATING FUND, "INSURANCE," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 10030.920101.545000.0000.00000. WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agencies' ("CRAs") insurance coverage for their offices will expire on June 23, 2008; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami's insurance broker, Brown & Brown, Inc., has obtained quotes for coverage effective June 24, 2007, at an annual cost not to exceed $6207.12; and WHEREAS, the Boards of Commissioners wish to authorize the Executive Director to purchase this insurance coverage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS OF SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND THE OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The purchase of insurance coverage for the CRAs' offices for the period commencing June 24, 2008 and ending June 23, 2009, at an annual cost not to exceed $6,500, is ratified. Section 3. Funds are to be allocated from General Operating Fund, "Insurance," Account Code No. 10030.920101.545000.0000.00000. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
