A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING FUNDING, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000, FOR THE
BEAUTIFICATION OF THE METRORAIL OVERPASS AT NW 11th STREET AND
THIRD AVENUE IN OVERTOWN; DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO
WORK WITH THE OVERTOWN NET OFFICE TO IMPLEMENT THE
BEAUTIFICATION; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AT HIS
DISCRETION, TO DISBURSE THE FUNDS ON A REIMBURSEMENT BASIS, OR
DIRECTLY TO CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS, UPON PRESENTATION OF
INVOICES AND SATISFACTORY DOCUMENTATION; AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR
SAID PURPOSE; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND,
OTHER GRANTS AND AIDS." ACCOUNT CODE NO.

WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA')
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within the Southeast
Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved
Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, to "[rjebuild and beautify NW 3rd Avenue from NW 8th - 14th Streets" is as a
recommended improvement set forth in the Redevelopment Plan (See Section IV, C., paragraph 1, at
page 27, of the 1982 Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Plan, as amended);
and
WHEREAS, the Metrorail overpass at NW 1 lth Street and Third Avenue in Overtown is in need
of beautification; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize $25,000 in funding for
beautification of the overpass;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Funding, in an amount not to exceeded $25,000, for the beautification of the
Metrorail overpass at NW 11th Street and Third Avenue in Overtown is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized, at his discretion, to disburse the funds on a

reimbursement basis, or directly to contractors and vendors, upon presentation of invoices and
satisfactory documentation.
Section 4, The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said
purpose.
Section 5. Funds are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and
Aids," Account Code No. 10050.920101.883000.0000.00000.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
