A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY,
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. CRA-R-05-0044, AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF ADDITIONAL FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$554,255.22, FOR A NOT TO EXCEED PROJECT TOTAL OF $5,054,255.22, FOR
THE STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN AN APPROXIMATE TWO -BLOCK
AREA SURROUNDING THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER OF GREATER MIAMI;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND, "FY 2007 OMNI
BUDGET RESERVE," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 686001.590320.6.996. (Deferred
from September 25, 2006).
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"), is
responsible for supporting and carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
redevelopment area in accordance with the approved redevelopment plan ("Redevelopment Plan");"
and
WHEREAS, Section V.B. of the redevelopment plan, entitled "Capital Improvement Projects," at
Paragraph 3, provides for: "(p]public infrastructure improvements including, but not limited to, utilities,
streets, sidewalks, parks, landscaping and upgrading of publicly -acquired easements;" and
WHEREAS, on May 26, 2005, by Resolution No. CRA-R-05-0021, the Board of Directors
authorized the expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to initiate the design and
construction phase for streetscape improvements in the approximate two -block area immediately
surrounding the Performing Arts Center of Greater Miami (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, on November 3, 2005, by Resolution No. CRA-R-05-0044, the Board of
Commissioners authorized additional Project funding in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Operations of the City of Miami's Office of Capital Improvements and
Transportation has informed the Interim Executive Director that, due to the commencement of
construction prior to the receipt of final contractor pricing, the engineer's original cost estimate has
been exceeded; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize additional funding in an amount
not to exceed $554,255.22 to complete the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted

by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Resolution No. CRA-R-05-044, passed and adopted on November 3, 2005, is amended
and the expenditure of additional funds, in an amount not to exceed $554,255.22, for a not to exceed
Project total of $5,054,255.22, is authorized for completion of the streetscape improvements within an
approximate two -block area surrounding the Performing Arts Center of Greater Miami.
Section 3. Funds are to be allocated from OMNI Tax Increment Fund, "FY 2007 Omni Budget
Reserve," Account Code No. 686001.590320.6.996.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
