HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-06-0035 LegislationCity of Miami Legislation CRA Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-01470 Final Action Date: A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES ("CRAS"), WJTH ATTACHMENT(S), ACCEPTING THE REPORT OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, IDENTIFYING PROSPECTIVE CAPITAL PROJECTS THAT WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND AESTHETICS IN THE CRA REDEVELOPMENT AREAS; DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO FORWARD THE REPORT TO CITY ADMINISTRATION WITH THE REQUEST THAT THE APPROPRIATE CITY STAFF MEET WITH THE PROPOSERS AND PROVIDE THEIR INPUT AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BOARD. WHEREAS, by CRA-R-06-0016, adopted April 24, 2006, the Boards of Commissioners for the Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agencies ("CRAs") created the Capital Improvement and Beautification Committee (the "Committee") to serve in an advisory capacity to identify and prioritize significant and achievable capital projects that will improve the quality of life, infrastructure, and aesthetics of the CRA redevelopment areas; and WHEREAS, the Boards of Commissioners wish to accept the report of the Committee and direct the Executive Director to take the necessary steps in support of said projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The report of the Community Redevelopment Agency Capital Improvement and Beautification Committee, attached and incorporated, identifying prospective capital projects that will improve the quality of life, infrastructure, and aesthetics in the CRA redevelopment areas is accepted. Section 3. The Executive Director is directed to forward the report to City administration with the request that the appropriate City staff meet with the proposers and provide their input and recommendations to the Board.
