A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
REALLOCATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000, FROM THE NORTH
11TH STREET REBUILD PROJECT TO THE INTERIOR BUILD -OUT OF THE
WARD ROOMING HOUSE, 249 NORTHWEST 9TH STREET, FOR USE AS AN
ART GALLERY; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISBURSE
SAID FUNDS, AT HIS DISCRETION, DIRECTLY TO PROJECT VENDORS
SELECTED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI OR TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF MIAMI TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO PROJECT VENDORS, PROVIDED THAT
COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE AWARD OF CONTRACTS TO SAID VENDORS HAS BEEN
DEMONSTRATED; REQUESTING THAT THE CITY OF MIAMI WAIVE ALL
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AS ITS IN -KIND CONTRIBUTION; FUNDS TO BE
ALLOCATED FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "CONSTRUCTION IN
PROGRESS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.860.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in accordance with its
Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the restoration of the exterior shell of the Ward Rooming House, at 249 Northwest
9th Street, is near completion and build -out of the interior of the building for use as an art gallery can
be initiated once funds have been allocated; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Office of Capital Improvements and Transportation ("CIT") has
determined that the project design and environmental study authorized for the North 11th Street
Rebuild Project by SEOPW CRA Resolution No. 03-12 is not necessary; and
WHEREAS, CIT is not ready to proceed with design work for the North llth Street Rebuild
Project at this time, the $150,000 allocated for the study is available for reallocation to the Ward
Rooming House Build -Out Project; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to reallocate the funding for the study to the
build -out of the Ward Rooming House and to request that the City of Miami waive all administrative
fees as its in -kind contribution to the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted

by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The reallocation of funds, in the amount of $150,000, from the North 11th Street
Rebuild Project to the interior build -out of the Ward Rooming house, at 249 Northwest 9th Street, for
use as an art gallery is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to disburse said funds, at his discretion, directly
to project vendors selected by the City of Miami or to authorize the City of Miami to issue purchase
orders to project vendors, provided that compliance with all applicable rules and regulations governing
the award of contracts to said vendors has been demonstrated.
Section 4. The City of Miami is requested to waive all administrative fees as its in -kind
contribution,
Section 5. Funds are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Construction In
Progress," Account Code No. 689001.550108.6.860.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
