A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES ("CRAS") AUTHORIZING
A GRANT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000, FOR THE CRAS'
SPONSORSHIP OF THE 2006 FLORIDA REDEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
CONFERENCE, TO BE HELD IN THE OMNI CRA OCTOBER 17TH - 20TH, 2006,
WITH CERTAIN EVENTS IN THE OVERTOWN CRA; ALLOCATING FUNDS, IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000 FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND,
"OTHER GRANTS AND AIDS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.940, AND
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000 FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND,
"OTHER GRANTS AND AIDS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 686001.590320.6.940.
WHEREAS, The Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) is an association of Florida's
community redevelopment agencies and professionals from around the state who are involved in
preserving and improving Florida's communities; and
WHEREAS, the FRA has selected the City of Miami as the host city for its annual conference,
located the conference in the Omni Community Redevelopment Area, and provided for events to be
held in the Overtown Park/West Community Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, being designated as sponsors of the 2006 FRA Conference will provide the
Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment
Agencies ("CRAs") with the opportunity to more fully showcase and promote redevelopment in the
redevelopment areas; and
WHEREAS, the Boards of Commissioners wish to authorize a grant, in the amount of $10,000,
for the CRAs' sponsorship of the 2006 FRA conference;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARDS COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND THE OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. A grant, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, is authorized for the CRAs'
sponsorship of the 2006 Florida Redevelopment Association Conference, to be held in the Omni CRA
October 17th - 20th, 2006, with certain events in the Overtown CRA.
Section 3. Funds, in an amount not to exceed $5,000, are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax
Increment Fund, "Other Grants and Aids," Account Code No. 689001.550108.6 .940, and in an
amount not to exceed $5,000 from Omni Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and Aids," Account Code

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
