HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-06-0019City of Miami Legislation CRA Resolution: CRA-R-06-0019 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-00761 Final Action Date: 5/11/2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $163,000, FOR A SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT, TO BE PERFORMED BY THE CITY MANAGER'S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE, OF THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF 1,050 HOUSING UNITS ON BLOCKS 45, 46, 55, AND 56 IN OVERTOWN; FUNDS TO BE ALLOCATED FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - OTHER," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.270. WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in accordance with its Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wish to obtain a supplemental environmental assessment of the proposed development of 1,050 housing units on Blocks 45, 46, 55, and 56 in Overtown; and WHEREAS, the City Manager's Capital Improvements and Transportation Office has agreed to perform the supplemental environmental assessment, and has selected Gannet Fleming, Inc. from its list of approved consultants to carry out the study at a cost not to exceed $163,000.00, subject to the CRA providing funding; and WHEREAS, the CRA's Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize funding for the supplemental environmental assessment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Funds, in an amount not to exceed $163,000.00, for a supplemental environmental assessment, to be performed by the City Manager's Capital Improvements and Transportation Office, of the proposed development of 1,050 housing units on blocks 45, 46, 55, and 56 in Overtown are authorized. Section 3.
