A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
("GRA") AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE TO ACCEPT TITLE TO THE
PROPERTY AT 1401 NORTH MIAMI AVENUE ON BEHALF OF THE CRA;
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $800,000.00, FOR REHABILITATION OF THE PROPERTY,
CONTINGENT UPON THE CITY OF MIAMI HAVING TRANSFERRED TITLE TO
THE CRA; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISBURSE SAID
FUNDS DIRECTLY TO VENDORS OR THROUGH PURCHASE ORDERS ISSUED
BY THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS ("CIP"), PROVIDED THAT CIP HAS DEMONSTRATED ITS
COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE AWARD OF CONTRACTS TO SAID VENDORS; REQUESTING
THAT THE CITY OF MIAMI WAIVE ALL ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AS ITS IN -KIND
CONTRIBUTION; FUNDS TO BE ALLOCATED FROM OMNI TIF FUND,
"'CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 686001.590320.6.860.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"), is
responsible for supporting and carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
redevelopment area in accordance with its approved redevelopment plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Plan, at page 9, Section III. A, provides for promoting rehabilitation of existing
structures; and
WHEREAS, the Plan, at page 27, Section V.B, 5, contemplated that the City of Miami would
renovate Old Fire Station No.2 at 1401 North Miami Avenue, as part of its Capital Improvement
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has failed to renovate the property and has indicated its
willingness to transfer the property to the CRA; and
WHEREAS, the CRA wishes to accept such transfer and to rehabilitate the property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director is authorized to accept title to the property at 1401 North
Miami Avenue from the City of Miami on behalf of the CRA.

Section 3. The expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $800,000.00, for the
rehabilitation of the property is authorized, contingent upon the City of Miami having transferred title to
the CRA.
Section 4. The Executive Director is authorized to disburse said funds, at his discretion, directly
to vendors or through purchase orders issued by the City of Miami Department of Capital Improvement
Projects ("CIP"), provided CIP has demonstrated its compliance with all applicable rules and
regulations governing the award of contracts to said vendors.
Section 5. The City of Miami is requested to waive all administrative fees associated with this
project and the Executive Director is directed to transmit this request to the City Manager for
appropriate action.
Section 6. Funds are to be allocated from Omni TIF Fund Account, "Construction in Progress,"
Account Code No. 686001.590320.6,860.
Section 7. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
