A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES ("CRAS"), RATIFYING THE
ACTIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IN PURCHASING PROPERTY
INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE CRAS' OFFICES FOR THE PERIOD
COMMENCING JUNE 24, 2005 AND ENDING JUNE 23, 2006, AT AN ANNUAL
COST OF $8,979; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM GENERAL OPERATING FUND, "
INSURANCE LIABILITY," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689004.550011,6.650.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community
Redevelopment Agencies' ("CRAs") property insurance coverage for the contents of the CRAS' offices
was due to expire on June 23, 2005; and
WHEREAS, to ensure uninterrupted property insurance coverage, the Executive Director
authorized placement of coverage with Essex Insurance Co., through the City of Miami's insurance
broker, Brown & Brown, Inc., effective June 24, 2005, at an annual cost not to exceed $8,979; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to ratify the actions of the Executive Director in
purchasing property insurance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND THE OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The actions of the Executive Director in purchasing property insurance coverage for
the CRAs' offices, for the period commencing June 24, 2005 and ending June 23, 2006, at an annual
cost of $8,979, is hereby ratified.
Section 3. Funds are to be allocated from General Operating Fund, "Insurance Liability,"
Account Code No. 689004.550011.6.650.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
