A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES AUTHORIZING A GRANT, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $312,500, TO THE DOWNTOWN MIAMI
PARTNERSHIP ("DMP") TO PROVIDE PARTIAL FUNDING FOR ITS "WRAP-
AROUND BUILDING REHAB PROGRAM" CONTINGENT ON DMP SECURING
FUNDING FOR THE BALANCE OF THE PROGRAM BUDGET; AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
FOR SAID PURPOSE; ALLOCATING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$156,250 FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER GRANTS AND AIDS,"
ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.940, AND IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $156,250 FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER GRANTS AND
AIDS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 686001.590320.6.940.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West and Omni Redevelopment District Community
Redevelopment Agencies ("CRAs") are responsible for carrying out community redevelopment
activities and projects within their respective Redevelopment Areas in accordance with their approved
Redevelopment Plans; and
WHEREAS, maintaining existing businesses, attracting new businesses, rehabilitating existing
housing, preserving historic buildings and sites, removing slum and blighted conditions, reinforcing the
property tax base, providing incentives for redevelopment of blighted properties, and promoting
rehabilitation and maintenance of existing viable uses and structures are all stated objectives of both
Redevelopment Plans; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Miami Partnership ("DMP") has instituted a Wrap -Around Building
Rehab Program which includes: 1) A Commercial Building Rehabilitation Program; 2) A Residential
Building Rehabilitation Program; 3) A Hardscape and Landscape Improvement Program; and 4) A
Tenant Improvement/Vanilla Box Program which will further many of these objectives; and
WHEREAS, DMP has requested a grant, in an amount not to exceed $312,500, to partially
fund the Wrap -Around Building Rehab Program; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to authorize the grant contingent upon DMP's
securing funding for the balance of the program budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST AND THE OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. A grant, in an amount not to exceed $312,500, to the Downtown Miami Partnership
to provide partial funding for its "Wrap -Around Building Rehab Program" is authorized contingent on
DMP securing funding for the balance of the program budget.
Section 3, The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said
purpose.
Section 4. Funds are to be allocated as follows: funds in an amount not to exceed $156,250
from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and Aids," Account Code No. 689001.550108.6.940
, and funds, in an amount not to exceed $156,250, from OMNI Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants
and Aids," Account Code No. 686001.590320.6.940.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
