A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING A GRANT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $90,000, TO
GREYHOUND LINES, INC. FOR FACADE ENHANCEMENTS TO THE BUS
TERMINAL PROJECT AT ITS EXISTING BUS MAINTENANCE FACILITY AT 1151
NORTHWEST 1ST AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAID PURPOSE;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER
GRANTS AND AIDS," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.940.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within the Southeast
Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to mitigate the perceived blighting influence of the bus maintenance
facility at 1151 Northwest lst Avenue, Miami, Florida, the CRA requested that Greyhound Lines, Inc.
incorporate an enhanced facade when renovating the facility to house its new bus terminal; and
WHEREAS, the Greyhound Lines, Inc. has requested a grant of $90,000 to offset the cost of
incorporating the enhanced facade; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to authorize the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. A grant, in an amount not to exceed $90,000, to Greyhound Lines, Inc. for facade
enhancements to the bus terminal project at its existing bus maintenance facility at 1151 Northwest lst
Avenue, Miami, Florida, is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said
purpose.
Section 4. Funds are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and
Aids," Account Code No. 689001.550108.6.940.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
