A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXTEND THE EXISTING
AGREEMENT WITH ALL COUNTY SECURITY, INC. FOR TWENTY-FOUR HOUR
UNARMED SECURITY GUARD SERVICE AT THE WARD ROOMING HOUSE,
249-51-53-55 NORTHWEST 9TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS NEEDED
THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2005, AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $88,914;
FUNDS TO BE ALLOCATED FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND - "OTHER
CONTRACTUAL,” ACCOUNT CODE NO. 689001.550108.6.340.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") has
acquired title to the Ward Rooming House, 249-51-53-55 Northwest 9th Street, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the building is in a deteriorated state and requires shoring to prevent its collapse and
possible injury to the public; and
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2004 the building suffered partial collapse of its west wall due to theft of
the shoring and bracing; and
WHEREAS, to prevent further thefts, All County Security, Inc. was engaged pursuant to
Resolution No. SEOPW/CRA R-04-51, passed and adopted on June 28, 2004, to provide twenty-four
hour unarmed security guard service at the site through September 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to continue twenty-four hour unarmed security guard
service as needed through September 30, 2005;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director is authorized to extend the existing agreement with All County
Security, Inc. for twenty-four hour unarmed security guard service at the Ward Rooming House, 249-
51-53-55 Northwest 9th Street, Miami, Florida, as needed through September 30, 2005, at a cost not
to exceed $88,914.
Section 3. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund - "Other Contractual,"
Account Code No. 689001.550108.6.340.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
