HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-04-0004City of Miami Legislation CRA Resolution: CRA-R-04-0004 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00895 Final Action Date: 7/29/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO, ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS, A MONTH -TO -MONTH AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH OMNI PARKING SERVICES, INC., FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE GRAND PROMENADE TO INCLUDE PARKING SERVICES, AND MONITORING OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, REFUSE CONTAINERS, AND ILLEGAL VENDORS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. SEOPW/CRA R-01-51, passed and adopted on May 21, 2001, the CRA authorized the Executive Director to execute a contract with Dover Kohl & Partners for the design and planning of a Grand Promenade along the old Municipal Rail Road right-of-way in the Park West entertainment district; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. SEOPW/CRA R-03-62, passed and adopted on July 15, 2003 the CRA authorized, interim renovations on an emergency basis to upgrade service, maintain access, and ensure the safety of the public and businesses utilizing the area; and WHEREAS, while the renovations are pending, the CRA wishes to award a month -to -month contract to Omni Parking Services, Inc. for emergency management of the Grand Promenade to include parking services, and monitoring of construction debris, refuse containers, and illegal vendors; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Executive Director is authorized to enter into, on an emergency basis, a month -to -month agreement, in a form acceptable to the city attorney, with Omni Parking Services, Inc., for management of the Grand Promenade to include parking services, and monitoring of construction debris, refuse containers, and illegal vendors. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of July, 2004.
