A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO SECTION
62-521(B) (4) AND (5), OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, WAIVING THE TEMPORARY EVENT TWO (2) EVENT LIMITATION
PER PROPERTY AND THE TWO (2) WEEK DURATION LIMITATION PER
PERMIT, IN ORDER TO HOSTA FARMERS' MARKETATTACOLCY PARK,
LOCATED AT 6161 NORTHWEST 9TH AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, OCCURRING
EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, FOR A PERIOD OF EIGHT (8) MONTHS
STARTING APRIL 29, 2011 AND ENDING ON DECEMBER 31, 2011.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), Temporary Events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year per property for
no longer than two (2) weeks each; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 (b) (4) and (5), of the City Code, the number and time
limitations can be waived upon affirmative vote of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, a Farmers' Market at Tacolcy Park, located at 6161 Northwest 9th Avenue, Miami,
Florida, for an extended period of time would be beneficial to the City of Miami's residents and local
businesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b) (4) and (5), of the City Code, the temporary events
amount and time limitations (no more than two [2] events per property for no longer than two [2] weeks
—------perpermit); for-the-Farmers-Market-at-Tacolcy-Park; located-at-616i-Northwest-9tf1 Avenue, ---Miami,
Florida, occurring every Friday and Saturday, for a period of eight (8) months starting April 29, 2011
and ending on December 31, 2011, are hereby waived for said period and said permit.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
