Said purchase will be at an amount of $250,000.00, allocating funds from PTAEO 18.180017.03.1659.Equipment.184010 — FY 2008-2009 State Homeland Security Program. Background Information: The Florida Task Force II ("USAR") has been provided funding to procure a "Specialty Rescue Vehicle" from the State of Florida Homeland Security Grant Program. This vehicle will support an initiative to provide a rapid on scene capability with regard to search and rescue. This will augment existing capabilities and is in line with the State of Florida's initiative in the area of Urban Search and Rescue. The Town of Davie, Dept. of Fire -Rescue has said vehicle for sale. This vehicle meets the needs of the task force and provides exceptional value for the money. The Florida Task Force II seeks to take ownership through an inter -local agreement with the Town of Davie, Fl. The State of Florida supports the transfer of ownership and will look to include this asset in its State Response Plan.
