The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Carollo at 12:22 p.m., and was adjourned at 12:26 p.m. ALSO PRESENT: George Wysong, Deputy City Attorney Todd B. MCRA RESOLUTION 14464 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA"), WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ACCEPTING AND APPROVING 2024 PROPOSED BUDGET OF THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED AS EXHIBIT "A", IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,436,326 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2023 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 RESPECTIVELY; DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF EACH BUDGET TO THE CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. Okay, who chairs the Midtown CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency) ? Todd B. Hannon (Clerk of the Board): Commissioner Carollo. Board Member King: Commissioner Covo? Board Member Covo: No, I need to get it back. For now, it's Commissioner Carollo. Vice Chair Carollo: (INAUDIBLE). Board Member Covo: Yeah. Vice Chair Carollo: I'm only -- Board Member Covo: It was Russell. Vice Chair Corolla: -- doing this -- yeah -- for -- until we could have another meeting and we can name Commissioner Covo, Chair. Board Member Covo: I move that. Vice Chair Corolla: Unfortunately, we can't. Board Member Covo: Oh, we can't do it today. Vice Chair Carollo: We're limited to what we have. Otherwise, I would've done it. Board Member Covo: Thank you. Vice Chair Carollo: On special meetings like this, we could only deal with what was advertised, nothing more. Miguel Valentin (Chief Financial Officer): Yes. I will be presenting the budget item on behalf of the director. Unfortunately, something unexpect -- something happened with his son and that's why he's not here today. Vice Chair Carollo: Well, we hope he'll be -- the son will be fine. Mr. Valentin: Okay, the item, a resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency, with attachments, accepting and approving 2024 proposed budget of the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency in the amount of $13,438,326, for fiscal year commencing October 1st, 2023 and ending September 30th, 2024. Vice Chair Carollo: Okay, is there any questions? Board Member King: You know, I -- Vice Chair Carollo: Okay. Board Member King: -- have one question about -- Vice Chair Carollo: Go ahead. Board Member King: -- the money that they owe the City. Miguel? Mr. Valentin: The understanding that I have is that by the end of fiscal year 2023, the City of Miami is going to be receiving an amount of $12 million, roughly. That journal entiy will be taking place before the fiscal year end. Board Member King: Okay. So, do I have a motion? Vice Chair Carollo: Well, let me -- George Wysong (Deputy City Attorney): Mr. Chair, could you open it up for public comment, please? Vice Chair Carollo: Yeah, we have to open it up to public comments before. Board Member King: Right. Vice Chair Carollo: Yeah, and -- okay, hearing no one that wants to speak, the public sector part is now closed. Is there a motion --? Board Member Reyes: Move it. Vice Chair Carollo: That's for -- Board Member King: Second. Vice Chair Carollo: -- two, for two. It's for the approving the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency regular September 13th, 2022, meeting, and the resolution for the Board of Commissioners of the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency, with attachments, accepting and approving the 2024 proposed budget of the Midtown Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency Page 3 Printed on 10/23/2023 Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency Meeting Minutes September 9, 2023 ADJOURNMENT Community Redevelopment Agency, attached and incorporated as Exhibit A, in the amount of $13,436,326 for the fiscal year commencing October 1st, 2023 and ending September 30th, 2024, respectively, directing the Executive Director to transmit a copy of each budget to the City of Miami and Miami -Dade County. It's moved by Commissioner Reyes, seconded by Chair King. All in favor, signify by saying "aye." The Board Members (Collectivelv): Aye. Vice Chair Carollo: It passes unanimously.
