The meeting was called to order by Chair Suarez at 10:04 p.m. and was adjourned at 10: 06 p.m. ALSO PRESENT: Clarence Woods, Assistant Executive Director, CRA Julie O. Brit, General Counsel, CRA Veronica Xiques, Assistant General Counsel, CRA Priscilla A. Thompson, Clerk of the Board MCRA RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF DDR MIAMI AVE, LLC, WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR AN AD VALOREM TAX EXEMPTION ON TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY PURSUANT TO SECTION 56-112 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; FURTHER FINDING NO FISCAL IMPACT ON THE CRA REDEVELOPMENT TRUST FUND. Votes: Aye: Vice Chair Gort, Commissioner Sarnoff, Commissioner Dunn II and Chair Suarez Absent: Commissioner Carollo MCRA-R-1 0-0004 Chair Suarez: This is the Midtown CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency), one item. It's a resolution. Mr. Woods, could you please present the resolution? Clarence Woods: Yes. Commissioners, Clarence Woods, the assistant director for Midtown CRA. This is a resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency approving the application of DDR Miami Avenue, LLC (Limited Liability Company), with the City of Miami for an ad valorem tax exemption on tangible personal property pursuant to Section 56-112 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida; further finding no fiscal impact on the CRA development trust fund. This particular item, Commissioners, is before you for approval for DDR Miami, which is the developer of -- one of the developers of the commercial properties over at the Shops of [sic] Midtown. Their -- they are seeking this approval for the impact -- well, for a waiver of the ad valorem tax exemption -- not ad valorem, but the -- Chair Suarez: Personal property. Mr. Woods: -- no, that's not ad valorem. It's personal property taxes. And they need this in order to get their exemption over at Miami -Dade County. Actually, it will go from us to the City of Miami; City of Miami will approve it, and then it goes to Miami -Dade County so where they City of Miami Page 2 Printed on 12,13, 2010 Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency Meeting Minutes October 14, 2010 can go and get the rebate on the waiver of impact fees. Commissioner Sarnoff So moved. Commissioner Gort: Second. Chair Suarez: There's a motion by Commissioner Sarnoff, second by -- Any discussion? All those in favor, sign by saying Ewe."
