MIDTOWN CRA R-05-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA"), WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING THE MIDTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PLAN ("PLAN"), ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; DIRECTING THAT THE PLAN AND THE CRA'S RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL AND ADOPTION BE TRANSMITTED TO THE CITY OF MIAMI CITY MANAGER; AND REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TRANSMIT THE PLAN AND RECOMMENDATION TO THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FOR LEGISLATIVE ACTION. WHEREAS, on March 24, 2005 the City of Miami ("City") created the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") to carryout redevelopment activities in the Midtown redevelopment area; and WHEREAS, prior to undertaking any activities the CRA must adopt a redevelopment plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami's Department of Planning prepared the attached Midtown Redevelopment Plan ("Plan"); and WHEREAS, the City's local planning agency by Resolution No. 05- adopted April 14, 2005, found the Plan to be in conformity with the comprehensive plan for the development of the City as a whole; and 1002 WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners wishes to approve the Plan and have the Plan and the Board's recommendation for adoption and approval submitted to the Miami City Commission and. the Board of County Commissioners of Miami -Dade County for legislative action; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Plan, attached and incorporated, is approved and is recommended for approval and adoption by the City of Miami and Miami -Dade County. Section 3. The Plan and the CRA's recommendation for approval and adoption shall be transmitted to the City of Miami City Manager. Section 4. The Board of Commissioners requests that the City Manager transmit the Plan and recommendation to the Miami City Commission and the Board of County Commissioners of Miami - Dade County for legislative action.
