The Brickell Preparatory Academy school site is bounded by Interstate-95 on the west and surrounded by existing high-rise developments. Brickell Preparatory Academy will accommodate students in grades K-12 and will provide relief to area schools while providing quality educational opportunities to residents of the Downtown, Brickell, Key Biscayne, and Roads neighborhoods. The Brickell Preparatory Academy facility will consist of 78 classrooms, restrooms, recreational areas, a lunchroom. mul-purpose spaces. a librarylmedia lab, computer, science and art labs, administrative offices, a multi -level parking garage, and a regulation -size gymnasium. Brickell Preparatory Academy will be part of the Mater Academy network of charter schools which currently operates fourteen successful charter schools, including Mater East Academy and Mater East High School located in the City of Miami. For the third consecutive year. Mater Academy Charter High School. in IIialealt Gardens, was listed as one of the "Best High Schools in America" by both News & World Report and Newsweek magazines. In addition to Mater Academy, students from the International Studies Charter High School (IS(1IS) Lilso be housed in the new facility. ISCTIS is a foreign language -based public charter school that is affiliated with the French, Italian and Spanish consulates, and currently has a campus in the City- of Miami. The school will employ approximately 90-100 teachers and support staff, and will provide much -needed relief for local schools, offer added choice for parents, and enhance the public's access to nationally -recognized educational programs. YOUNG Our firm represents Westbri Development Group, LLC who is the owner of the properties located at 1741-1751 SW 2 Avenue (the "Property"). As of the date of this letter the Property does not have any open code enforcement violations. However, there are two pending liens, both in the amount of $16,750, for which we are seeking mitigation from the Code Enforcement Board. This letter shall serve as confirmation that the owner has deposited $33,500 in our firm's escrow account for the payment of such liens. Once the liens are mitigated, the escrow funds will be used to pay off the mitigated lien amount.
