A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $46,500, FROM
THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT ("FIND") FOR THE MIAMI
WOMAN'S CLUB BAYWALK - PHASE I PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FIND PROJECT AGREEMENT, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, AND ANY OTHER NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE AND
ADMINISTRATION OF SAID GRANT AWARD; ALLOCATING THE CITY OF
MIAMI'S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$46,500, FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENTAGENCY
OMNI FUND.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") wishes to allow public access by construction of a baywalk in
the area adjacent to the historic Miami Woman's Club; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0135, adopted March 25, 2010, the City Commission
authorized the submittal of a grant application to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. CRA-R-10-0034, adopted April 26, 2010, the Board of
Commissioners of the Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") authorized the CRA to join the City
of Miami in applying for a FIND grant and directed the CRA to bring back a resolution authorizing
funding in the event a FIND grant was awarded; and
WHEREAS, the City was awarded a grant from FIND in the amount not to exceed $46,500 for the
design, engineering and permitting of the Baywalk, assessment of the associated seawall, and other
professional services for Phase.I of the Miami Woman's Club Baywalk Project ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City's required matching grant funds, in the amount not to exceed $46,500, are to
be provided by the CRA Omni Fund; and
WHEREAS, grant funds are to be appropriated by separate resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized(1) to accept grant funds, in an amount not to exceed
$46,500, from FIND for the Project, and to execute the FIND Project Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, and any other necessary documents in order to implement the acceptance and

administration of said grant award.
Section 3. The City's required matching funds, in an amount not to exceed $46,500, are allocated
from the City's CRA OMNI fund.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
