Start Up Capital Cost: �0 Maintenance Cost: Total Fiscal Impact: $2,286,000 CIP To 4-9 ,4ss7, 7,7 I • ing or receiving capital funds Grants Purchasing Chief Final Approvals (SIGN AND DATE) Budget Risk Management petitCEA Director c /ooi 07 City Manager Page 1 of 2 Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to submit an application for grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $1,143,000 for the Baywalk At Museum Park construction and beautification project ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for fifty percent (50%) of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $1,143,000, to be provided by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) OMNI/CRA Fund (Capital Improvement Project B-30538) for a total project cost of $2,286,000; further authorizing the City Manager to execute any other necessary documents for the submission of said grant application for fiscal year 2011-2012. Background Information: The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for $1,143,000 in grant funding from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) for the constructions and beautifications of a Baywalk that extend east of Museum Park and continue along the Baywalk slip. This Project will consist of the construction in addition, but not limited to landscaping development, the installations of walkway lighting, benches, trash receptors and decorative pavers. The item includes language by Rule 66B-2, Florida Administrative Code, for grant submission to the Waterways Assistance Program. Page 2 of 2
