Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission; with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to
submit an application for grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways
Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $117,500 for the Little River Waterfront Park
acquisition ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for seventy-five
percent (75%) of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $352,500, to be provided by the
Bayfront and Riverfront Lands Acquisition Trust; authorizing the City Manager to execute any other
necessary documents for the submission of said grant application for fiscal year 2011-2012.

Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to
submit an application for grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways
Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $117,500 for the Little River Waterfront Park
acquisition (Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for severity -five
percent (75%) of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $352,500, to be provided by the
Bayfront and Riverfront Lands Acquisition Trust; authorizing the City Manager to execute any other
necessary documents for the submission of said grant application for fiscal year 2011-2012.
Background information
The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for grant
funding from FIND for acquisition of a 1.2-acre property on the Little River to be used as a public park
in an amount not to exceed $470,000 including purchase price and all due diligence costs associated
with the acquisition of the properties.
