Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to
submit an application for grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways
Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $60,000, for the Spoil Island "E" Restoration and
Dock Construction Project ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for
fifty percent (50%) of the Project costs, in an amount not to exceed $60,000, to be provided by the
Spoil Island "E" Restoration and Dock Construction Project available under Capital Improvement
Project B-30721; authorizing the City Manager to execute any other necessary documents for the
submission of said grant application for fiscal year 2011-2012.
Background Information:
The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for $60,000 in
grant funding from the Florida Inland Navigation District for the Spoil Island "E" Restoration and Dock
Construction Project. The total project cost is $120,000. The item includes language by Rule 66B-2,
Florida Administrative Code, for grant submittal to the Waterways Assistance Program.
