The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for Grounds Maintenance Services, Citywide,
with McIntyre Maintenance, Inc., for an initial contract period of two (2) years with option to renew
for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Allocating funds from the various sources of funds from
the user departments, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a contract for Grounds Maintenance
Services. On October 7, 2010, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid No. 247232. As
required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On October 25, 2010,
at the bid opening, eleven (11) bidders submitted bids, and the bids were tabulated. The Invitation for
Bid listed four (4) groups by department and the method of award was based on a group by group
basis. The Purchasing Department is recommending award of all groups to McIntyre Maintenance,
Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, per bid specifications. The estimated annual
amount is $101,784.00.
