A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENTS, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORMS, BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FOR THE PROVISION OF
POLICE ROVING PATROL SERVICES WITHIN THE NATOMA MANORS SPECIAL
TAXING DISTRICT, BAY HEIGHTS SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT, MORNINGSIDE
SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT, FAIRHAVEN SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT AND
BRICKELL FLAGLER SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW SAID AGREEMENTS FOR SUCCESSIVE TWO
(2) YEAR PERIODS AND TO ACCEPT PAYMENT FOR POLICE SERVICES
PROVIDED AT CURRENT OFF -DUTY POLICE OFFICER RATES AND
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES.
WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes and the Miami -Dade County("County") Home Rule
Charter, as amended, permit the County and the City of Miami ("City") to enter into Interlocal
Agreements; and
WHEREAS, each of the above Special Taxing Districts were approved by a majority vote of
qualified electors residing within each district; and
WHEREAS, prior Interlocal Agreements between the City and the County, for provision of police
roving patrol services within the Natoma Manors Special Taxing District, Bay Heights Special Taxing
District, Morningside Special Taxing District, Fairhaven Special Taxing District and Brickell Flagler
Special Taxing District, expired September 30, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to retroactively renew these agreements from October 1, 2010,
through September 30, 2012;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized {1} to enter into Interlocal Agreements, in substantially
the attached forms, between the City and the County, for the provision of police roving patrol services
within the Natoma Manors Special Taxing District, Bay Heights Special Taxing District, Morningside
Special Taxing District, Fairhaven Special Taxing District and Brickell Flagler Special Taxing District.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized{1} to renew the Interlocal Agreements for

successive two (2) year periods, and to accept payment for police services provided at current off -duty
police officer rates and administrative fees.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
