Director City Manager Page I of 1 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: The Department of Community Development has established a Code Compliance Progra City to assist in revitalizing low and moderate income neighborhoods of the City. in the The Single Family Rehabilitation Program provides eligible low and moderate income homeowners with up to $35,000 to repair and bring their properties to code and the Replacement Home Program is designed to address substandard and dilapidated housing units whose repair cost cannot be addressed through the Single Family Rehabilitation Program. Pursuant to Resolution No. 09-0539, adopted November 10, 2009, the Miami City Commission approved the transfer of CDBG funds in the amount $500,000 to the Single Family Rehabilitation Program. The Single Family Program currently has 109 homeowners on the waiting list to be assisted. The Administration recommends the amount of $500,000 in CDBG Housing Activities funds be transferred to the Single Family Program for the Rehabilitation and Replacement Home programs as specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated.
