Purpose of Item: This item authorizes the Seventh Amendment to the Series 2005 Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Program (SNPB) Specified/Per Capita contract with the City simply to extend the ending term of the agreement from June.5, 2010 to November 30th 2010 covering already completed projects at Curtis Park, Lummus Park, African Square park and Virginia Key Beach, to allow the Miami -Dade office of Capital Improvements to complete their process of amending the SNPB ordinance, required before the County can reimburse the City for improvements made at the above parks as part of the SNPB program. Background Information: The Department of Parks and Recreation requires that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution approving the Seventh Amendment to the Series 2005 SNPB Specified/Per Capita agreement with Miami -Dade County. Said Amendment is required by the County to complete their legislative process to amend the original SNPB Ordinance, thereby allowing the County to reimburse the City for previous reimbursement requests made for said projects completed prior to June 5th, 2010, the last expiration date of the existing agreement.
