A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachment(s), authorizing the City Manager to
execute an Agreement, in substantially the attached form, between the City of Miami ("City") and
NMMA Boat Shows, Inc. for the use of dockage space at Miamarina at Bayside for the presentation
of the Strictly Sail venue of the Miami International Boat Show, commencing February 13, 2011
through February 23, 2011, with terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Agreement.
Background Information:
Strictly Sail Miami is produced by NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association), the world's
largest producer of boat shows and the leading association representing the recreational boating
industry. The annual boat show displays more than 2,300 of the world's newest power boats,
sailboats, engines, and accessories. Over the past twelve years, with the exception of 2010 due to
economic conditions, the Miami International Boat Show has presented the Strictly Sail venue at
Miamarina at Bayside, exposing the City's marina to over an estimated 75,000 attendees annually
from all over the world. This event is expected to generate approximately $60,052 in revenues to the
City.
