Executive Session scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Pursuant to •my request to the City Cornrnission at its Meeting of November 17, 2011,
please schedule the below -listed Executive Session for the December 15, 2011, City Commission
Meeting at 2:00 p.m.
Under F.S. §286.011(8), F.S. [2011], the person chairing the City of Miami
Cornrnission meeting will announce the commencement of an attorney -client
session, closed to the public, to discuss the pending consolidated litigation cases
of: Steven K. Schwartz, etc. v. The City of Miami, et al., Case No. 07-44810 CA
08, and Sammy Brown, et al. v. City of Miami, et al., Case No. 08-80065 CA 08,
pending in the Circuit Court of the 1 1th Judicial Circuit in and for Miami -Dade
County, Florida, to which the City is a party. This session will begin at
approximately 2:00 p.m. (or as soon after as the Commissioners' schedules
permit) and conclude approximately one hour later and the session will be
attended by the members of the City Commission: Chairman Wifredo Gort,
Marc Sarzoff, Francis Suarez, Frank Carollo, and Michelle Spence -Jones; the
City Manager, Johnny Martinez; the City Attorney, Julie O. Bru; Deputy City
Attorney, Warren Bittner, and Assistant City Attorney Henry J. Hunnefeld. A
certified court reporter will be present to transcribe the session and the transcript
will be made public at the conclusion of the above -cited, ongoing litigation. At
the conclusion of the attorney -client session, the regular Commission meeting
will be reopened and the person chairing the Cornrnission meeting will
announce the termination of the attorney -client session.
