RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY MAYOR OR THE COUTH MAYOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THE FUNDING, ASBESTOS ABATEMENT, AND DEMOLITON OF ELIZABETH VIRRICK II PUBLIC HOUSING DEVELOPMENT LOCATED AT 2828 NW 23 AVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA THROUGH THE CITY'S NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, this Board desires to accomplish the purposes outlined in the accompanying memorandum, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, the Board authorizes the County Mayor or the Mayor's designee to execute the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), , subject to the approval by the County Attorney's Office, with the City of Miami, in substantially the form attached hereto, for the funding, asbestos abatement, and demolition of Elizabeth Virrick II public housing development located at 2828 NW 23 AVE, Miami, Florida through the City's Neighborhood Stabilization Program, subject to the approval of the City of Miami Board of Commissioners; authorizes the County Mayor or the County Mayor's designee to take all actions necessary to accomplish same and to execute all necessary agreements following approval by the County Attorney's Office; and to exercise amendment, modification, renewal, cancellation and termination clauses on behalf of Miami -Dade County, Florida.
