Migoya, City Manager 444 S.VV. 2nd Ave., 10'h Floor Miami, FL 33130 May 26, 2010 RE: Recommendation of the Evaluation Committee for RFP 207193 - Claims Administration Services and Managed Care Services Mr. Migoya: As Chairperson of the Evaluation Committee (°Committee") for the above services for the City of Miami, it is my responsibility to offer the findings and recommendation of the Committee. The City issued RFP 207193 for the provision of Claims Administration Services and Managed Care Services. A total of eight (8) Proposals were received, two (2) were deemed non- responsive for Parts I, II, and III, and two (2) were deemed non -responsive for Part III only. The Evaluation Committee ("Committee"), appointed by the City Manager, was comprised of the following individuals. 1. Ed Beecher, Risk Manager, Pompano Beach 2. Victor Marrero, Risk Management Director, Broward Sheriffs Office 3. John McCarthy, Risk Manager, City of Plantation 4. Angella Breadwood, Claims Manager, Risk Management, City of Miami 5. 'liana Forte, Assistant City Attorney, Office of the City Attorney, City of Miami The Evaluation/Selection Committee ranked the firms as follows: Services: Hi hest Ranked Firm(s): Second Hi. hest Ranked Firm s): PAPT I: Workers Cc. n ensation Claims Administration Gallagher Bassett Services, nc: PGCS PART II: General, Automobile, and Professional Liability Claims Administration Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. York Risk Services Group, Inc. PART III: Managed Care Service Amerisys Gallagher Bassett Services, inc. Pursuant to Section 3.1. of the RFP, where the City reserves the right to award Part I, Part and/or Part Ill services to a Successful Proposer, whichever is in the best interest of the City, the Evaluation Committee has recommended that the City enter' into negotiations with Gallagher Basset Services, Inc. for Part I, Part II, and Part III. However, should negotiations fail with Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. for all three parts, the City should then enter into negotiations with Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. for Parts I and II and with Amerisys for Part III. Should negotiations fail with Gallagher Basset Services, Inc. and with Amerisys, the Cty should then enter into negotiations with PGCS for Part I, with York Risk Services Group, Inc, for Part II, and with Amerisys for Part III Services.
