Dear Mr. Rodriguez:
This law firm represents Howard and Marlene Schimmel in relation to the
referenced property. This letter shall serve as the Applicants' letter of intent in
support of the rezoning of the property from R-2, Duplex Residential to C-2,
Liberal Commercial.
The Property. The property is approximately four thousand seven
hundred and fifty (4,750) square feet in size and is located on the south side of
NE 56th Street, and east of NE 4th Avenue. The property is a part of a larger C-2
zoned property that is developed with a warehouse building. Currently the
property is vacant and has been vacant for more than ten (10) years.
Rezoning. The Applicants are requesting a Comprehensive
Neighborhood Plan Amendment and a Rezoning in order to extend the existing
warehouse building and warehouse operation onto the property. The proposed
expansion will be compatible with the surrounding area as well as the ten (10)
story residential apartment building located directly across NE 56th Street from
the property.
