A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING GRANT AWARD FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$175,000, FROM THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT ("FIND"), FOR
THE MIAMI MARINE STADIUM RESTORATION - PHASE I PROJECT
("PROJECT"); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FIND
PROJECT AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, AND ANY
OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE
ACCEPTANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OF SAID GRANT AWARD; ALLOCATING
THE CITY OF MIAMI'S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $175,000, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. B-30688.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") has a strong interest in restoring the Miami Marine Stadium
on Virginia Key; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0146, adopted March 25, 2010, the City Commission
authorized the application of a grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") and authorized .
the allocation of the City's required matching funds in an amount not to exceed $175,000; and
WHEREAS, the City was awarded a grant from FIND in the amount not to exceed $175,000, for
the restoration of the Miami Marine Stadium ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, this. Phase I Project will provide a structural assessment of the in -the -water structures
such as the pilings and seawall; and
WHEREAS, the City's required matching funds in the amount not to exceed $175,000, are
available from Capital Improvements Project ("CIP") No. B-30588; and
WHEREAS, grant funds are to be appropriated by separate resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Grant award funds, in an amount not to exceed $175,000, from the FIND, for the
Project, are accepted.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the FIND Project Agreement, in
substantially the attached form, and any other necessary documents in order to implement the
acceptance and administration of said grant award.

Section 4. The City's required matching funds, in an amount not to exceed $175,000, are
allocated from CIP Project No. B-30688.
Section 5. This grant award will be appropriated by separate Resolution.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
