Director Chief �Cs� City Manager Page 1 of 1 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Oackground Information: Pursuant to Resolution No.07-0315, adopted June 12, 2007, the Miami City Commission approved the allocation of $459,937 to the District 2 Economic Development Reserve Account. CIP is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all construction relatedcapital projects in the City of Miami, and for the financial management of all capital funds. The streets in the Shorecrest area of District 2 are currently In disrepair with drainage problems that has to be corrected. The Shorecrest area qualifies as a low-income community and the street improvement qualifies for CDBG funding as improvement to public facilities. The Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the amount of $400,000 from the District 2 Economic Development Reserve Account to CIP for public facilities and improvement activities for street improvements in the North Shorecrest area.
