A 15 day notice is required and we would like the ite to be heard on September 23, 2010. The date and time of this public hearing will be: APP'.e r Gallasteg Agenda Coordinator LIM/CIP&Transp. 2 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING regarding RATIFICATION OF EMERGENCY FINDINGS FOR WAIVER OF COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDS FOR THE PROVISION OF PRE -ARRANGED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR LOW TO MODERATE INCOME ELDERLY AND THE DISABLED THROUGH ACTION COMMUNITY CENTER INC., TRANSPORTATION AND TRANSIT SPECIAL REVENUE FUND 122001 City Hall — 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, Florida The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on September 23, 2010 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to consider whether it is in the public's best interest that the City Commission ratify, approve and confirm the Emergency Findings of the City Manager justifying the waiver of competitive bids and the award of a Grant Agreement for Pre -arranged Transportation Services for Miami residents who are low to moderate income elderly and the disabled to destinations such as hospital and medical facilities, supermarkets, and senior care centers to Action Community Center, Inc. The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of September 23, 2010 at: MIAMI CITY HALL 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, Florida All interested persons may appear at the meeting and may be heard with respect to the proposed issue. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105). In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City Clerk at (305) 250-5360 (Voice) no later than two (2) business days prior to the proceeding or at (305) 250-5472 (TTY) no later than three (3) business days prior to the proceeding.
