HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-10-0505City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-10-0505 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 10-01270 Final Action Date:10/28/2010 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO HAVE THE DIRECTOR OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS DEPARTMENT PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE PROPOSED CITY OF MIAMI TROLLEY SERVICE, AS STATED HEREIN, AT THE NOVEMBER 18, 2010 CITY COMMISSION MEETING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Miami City Commission directs the City Manager to have the Director of the Capital Improvements Department provide the following information on the proposed City of Miami Trolley, at the November 18, 2010 City Commission meeting: 1. The name of the company chosen to perform the traffic study; 2. The feasibility of a trolley route in the health district; 3. The feasibility of a trolley route from Brickell Avenue, along 8th Street/17th Avenue to the Marlins Stadium; 4. The feasibility of a trolley route from Coral Way, along 17th Avenue to the Marlins Stadium; 5. The feasibility and timeliness of a new procurement process; 6. Information regarding getting the new trolleys; and 7. Basic overview of the trolley program. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
