In order to facilitate the park creation, the Florida Inland Navigation District has committed to $150,000 to close the funding gap contingent upon a commitment of matching funds from local agencies. Subsequently, the South Florida Water Management District and the Miami Downtown Development Authority contributed matching funds towards the completion of the park. The City now wishes to contribute $50,000 to facilitate the restoration and site improvements for the Miami Circle Park, including completion of the riverwalk and park fumiture.
