Donation of Horse "BigScho" to David Patton
The City of Miami's Department of Police Mounted Patrol Detail has a horse known as "BigScho,"
which has behavioral difficulties preventing this horse from being suited for the Mounted Patrol Detail
and is consequently no longer beneficial to the City of Miami. "BigScho" has a tendency to become
hyper and unruly in patrol formation, which poses a safety issue
The original donor was unreachable by telephone and through certified letter, which was returned;
therefore, waiving all owner's rights and interest in the horse and further allowing the City of Miami's
{"City) Department of Police Mounted Patrol Detail to find a suitable home for the horse.
David Patton will keep the horse at a stable in the Redlands that consists of 5 acres of land which
would be ideal for a horse with "BigScho's" condition and has indicated a desire to care for the horse.
David Patton has agreed to be responsible for all arrangements to transport "BigScho" to said horse
stable at no expense to the City.
