Subject: Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 231226 Breeches. Puttees. and Boots
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the provision of Breeches. Puttees, and Boots
for the Department of Police, with Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform, for an initial contractual period
of one (1) year with options to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, allocating funds
from the various sources of funds of the user departments, subject to availability of funds and
budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a term contract for Breeches, Puttees,
and Boots. On July 19, 2010, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid No. 231226. As
required by the Procurement Code, the IFB. was advertised and issued on line. On August 5, 2010, at
the bid opening, one (1) bidder, responded, and the bid has been tabulated. Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo
Uniform, submitted the sole responsive and responsible bid per specifications and is therefore
recommended for the award. The total estimated annual amount is $28,536.14.
